Empire FX, a CMA-regulated Forex and CFD trading retailer based in Kenya, has appointed Sahil Patel as Chief Operating Officer. He will be based in Nairobi and will oversee the broker’s global operations as it looks to expand across Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Patel previously spent more than six years at Pepperstone, where he helped build the Australian broker’s business in Africa, leading its entity in Kenya from 2020 and most recently serving as head of Africa. The hire comes amid intense competition for Kenyan retail traders from international brokers such as Capital.com and XM.

N26 resets OLB’s head of operations in Berlin
At the same time, N26 has appointed Aytac Aydin from Oldenburgische Landesbank (OLB) as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of N26 SE and N26 Bank SE. He will join alongside the expanded role of current business chief Daniel Labas and a new reporting structure that places the heads of state of Spain, Italy and France directly under CEO Mike Dargan.

Former INFINOX LATAM President Daniele Benez joins 4XC
4XC has appointed Daniel Benez as Head of Brand Growth for Latin America. This role brings a FX and CFD specialist with many years’ experience in the region, in both commercial and growth-focused roles. Benez previously held positions at brokerages including BDSwiss, INFINOX, Vantage, Doo Prime and Hantec Markets.

In her new role at 4XC, she will focus on increasing brand awareness and expanding client reach across Latin America, drawing on her experience as Regional Director for LATAM at INFINOX, where she helped strengthen the broker’s presence in key markets.

Taurex reinstates former CEO
Elsewhere, Taurex has appointed Matthew Wright as its global chief executive, returning him to the role he left four years ago. The move comes after Wright spent the last year as a non-executive director at the CFD broker. He said in his announcement that the board has asked him to return to lead the global business with immediate effect.

Wright rejoined Taurex for the first time as a non-executive director in July, a part-time position announced in March where he sat on the board and contributed to oversight and strategy. He has held several senior positions in the brokerage sector, most recently as Group Chief Operating Officer at Exinity between 2023 and 2025.

Finally, OKX has appointed Ian Rogers as Head of Compliance for EMEA. He has over 15 years of experience in financial services across CFD brokerages and digital asset companies.
