Payments provider ACI International It is reportedly considering selling its billing business.
That’s according to A a report Friday (July 17), citing three sources familiar with the matter. The potential sale comes amid strong investor demand for payments software and recurring revenue companies, which has sparked dealmaking across the industry, the report noted.
ACI Worldwide has begun working with investment bankers on the sale and has begun discussions with potential buyers, including private equity firms, sources told Reuters. The sale could value the billing unit at about $1.5 billion, about 10 to 12 times the adjusted 2025 value. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), the sources said.
PYMNTS has reached out to ACI for comment but has not yet received a response.
As Reuters noted, ACI’s billing business provides software that helps businesses bill customers and collect payments digitally. Among these clients IRSsubsidiaries of Blue Cross Blue Shield, Akron utilitiesand Horizon Healthcare Services.
