In the latest XRP news, Ripple is incorporating artificial intelligence as part of its efforts to enhance the security of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), with the aim of making it more reliable for many use cases, including global payments and tokenization. This comes as Ripple continues to expand its payment services, onboarding a growing number of institutions in the process.
Today’s XRP News: Ripple integrates artificial intelligence for greater security
In a Blog postRipple announced that it is adopting a more proactive, AI-driven approach to identifying and remediating vulnerabilities before they reach production. As part of the latest security efforts, the company’s developers plan to adopt AI-assisted testing, a dedicated red team, and higher standards for code changes and modifications.
Ripple’s Head of Engineering, Ayo Akinyele, revealed that they plan to integrate AI across the XRPL development cycle. This will include regular scanning of discrepancy codes, AI-assisted reviews of each PR, threat modeling and attack surface mapping of new and existing feature interactions. Additionally, these developers will use AI to simulate edge cases and stress scenarios that would otherwise be difficult to create manually.
Furthermore, Ripple has created an AI-powered red team that will focus on continuous analysis of the XRPL database and how the features interact in real-world scenarios. “This allows us to more fully explore edge cases, especially at the boundaries where old logic meets new functionality, which are often the most fragile points in long-lived systems,” the Ripple engineer said.
He also noted that the goal is to continually enhance the reliability of XRPL as it expands to support global payments, tokenized assets, and institutional use cases. XRPL continues to gain more attention for these use cases, especially as Ripple expands its operations.
As CoinGape reported in other XRP news yesterday, Ripple will trial RLUSD In the MAS BLOOM initiative in Singapore. This project specifically explores payments using regulated stablecoins and bank token funds.
Why is this important to the network?
Ripple said the move to incorporate AI is important because of the XRP Ledger’s role in global payments and tokenization, as well as Ledger’s complex financial primitives. As a result, the standard for reliability, security and safety has become “extremely high and uncompromising.”
Akinyele added that the stakes have never been higher, which is why XRPL resilience should be ongoing rather than a one-time validation. As CoinGape reported in other XRP news, there was too Major XRPL technology upgrades Recently it aims to boost institutional adoption of the network.
Meanwhile, XRPL auditor Vet praised the move to incorporate AI, calling it “the next level of security for XRP for the next level of adoption.” He noted that this is an additional layer of security on top of bug bounties, code base checks, and attack rolls, and a significant barrier to new XRP modifications. “It’s a comprehensive approach to making protocol changes more secure,” he added.
