Demo deployment for Stablecoin Influence (SFI) It was launched to demonstrate how revenue generated from stablecoins can support school internet connectivity through Giga, a global school connectivity initiative led by UNICEF and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
The solution was developed by a blockchain infrastructure company Launch contract It enables donors to allocate a portion of the revenue generated from stablecoins provided to decentralized lending markets, on Aave, toward social initiatives.
The pilot includes participation from GSR Foundationas the inaugural institutional donor. The revenue generated from the institution’s stablecoin deposits is directed to support the connectivity provided through Giga.
Giga List is now live on the Stablecoin for Impact platform, enabling additional donors to deploy stablecoins and allocate a share of the generated revenue to connect to schools.
Jaideep Korde, CEO of Launchnodes, said: “The use of widely adopted stablecoins including USDC and USDT combined with lending marketplaces like Aave makes it possible to create a new model for charitable funding.
With the GSR Foundation supporting the first deployment, Stablecoin for Impact is now available to financial institutions, corporations and CSR teams who want to support initiatives such as School Connect while retaining ownership of their capital.
James Newell, Executive Director of the GSR Foundation, said: “This pilot allows us to explore how digital asset returns can support real-world social initiatives while preserving capital. It represents an opportunity to test new financing approaches for projects like school connectivity.”
Gerben Kijne, Blockchain Product Lead at Giga, said: “Connecting schools to the Internet helps ensure that every young person has access to information, opportunities and choices. Pilot projects like this help explore how innovative funding mechanisms can complement existing efforts to connect schools around the world.”
The initiative is being implemented as a time-bound pilot, with an evaluation checkpoint to assess operational performance, transparency of funding flows, and effectiveness of the mechanism in supporting communication outcomes.

About Stablecoin for Impact (SFI)
Created by Launchnodes, Stablecoin for Impact (SFI) is a decentralized philanthropic platform that turns stablecoins into active capital for social good using Aave supply yield. SFI is part of the success Lido staking effect initiative. It pioneered this perpetual bidding model using staking rewards on ETH, while SFI is adapting the same strategy for stablecoins specifically USDC, USDT and DAI by tapping into Aave’s lending markets. This creates sustainable and permanent funding flows for NGOs without requiring donors to spend their core funds.
“We built Stablecoin for impact because we saw organizations sitting on hundreds of millions of stablecoins that were generating little to zero returns,” said Andrei Drota, Chief of Staff at Launchnodes. “SFI turns idle capital into funding school connectivity and opportunity – without requiring anyone to spend a single dollar of capital. This is what cryptocurrencies were meant to do: create a new financial infrastructure that benefits everyone.”
