Binance CZ Says Cryptocurrencies Are Not Dead, Predicts a ‘Super Cycle’


Binance founder Changpeng “CZ” Zhao believes that even with the recent market decline, cryptocurrencies are still alive and well. He remains optimistic at the start of the long-awaited “supercycle.”

During recent times interviewCZ was questioned at Binance regarding comments he made four months ago in which he stated that 2026 could be a crypto supercycle. The interviewer said that Bitcoin is having a hard time finding any rhythm, and is still in the $60,000 to $64,000 range. “Things are not looking good from where we sit today,” she added.

The Binance founder veered away from any specific market forecast. “I think even when I said that, I probably said I couldn’t predict the future,” he said. “I try to avoid prediction questions regardless,” he added when pressed further.

“But will cryptocurrencies die? Absolutely not,” CZ said. “Cryptocurrencies will continue to grow. So I think a supercycle will come. I’m not sure when it will come,” the Binance founder added.

The interview clip was then posted on social media platform X, where CZ appears to have made the previous prediction. He wrote sarcastically: “I may be late… I cannot predict anything.”

The cryptocurrency market remains volatile

The Binance founder’s statements coincide with the overall volatile nature of the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin has struggled to hold above $64,000 in the past few trading sessions amid macroeconomic concerns.

Cryptocurrency analyst Ted Bellows said that Bitcoin is entering a critical technical level. “BTC is in a short-term resistance zone,” he wrote in a post on X today.

Pillows also connected the dots between Bitcoin’s potential next move and developments related to US President Donald Trump and Iran. “Trump says “The analyst wrote that a peace agreement will be signed tomorrow. “If that actually happens, Bitcoin will finally see a pump after weeks of downtrend,” Bellos added.

Earlier today, Bitcoin price rose again from the $63,500 area and remained close to $64,000.
