Users of the European Common Mobility Platform Bolt You will be able to use it soon Klarna‘Pay in full’ option to pay for car rides, scooters and car rentals.
This capability is now being rolled out and will be fully available across Germany, Sweden, Norway and Finland by the end of June. The car rental service will only be available in Germany, Klarna said in a Wednesday (June 17) press release emailed to PYMNTS.
This capability is enabled by a new partnership between Bolt and Klarna that brings Klarna’s payment options to the Bolt app, according to the release.
The integration is built around token payments, so users can pay with their stored credentials rather than re-entering their details for each trip.
Customers can choose to pay in full or pay monthly with Klarna.

“By adding Klarna, we are giving our customers another convenient way to pay for the transportation services they use most often,” Logue said.
Björn BryngelssonThe partnership puts Klarna in an app used by millions of people every day, said Klarna’s Nordic division head, in the release.
“We’re building Klarna for the moments that make up everyday life, and few things are more everyday than the way you get around your city,” Bryngelsson said.

Management said during a May earnings call that Klarna is trying to achieve parity and reach with traditional payment networks by offering convenient payment methods for different merchant categories including subscriptions, groceries, ride-sharing and airlines.

The company said the collaboration will allow drivers to pay for parking using Klarna’s full option, which will be available in Arrive’s EasyPark app and will allow instant payment. The Arrive parking network includes millions of locations in more than 20,000 cities and 90 countries.
