Tom Lee’s Bitmine has added more ETH to its vault, receiving 10,000 ETH from the Ethereum Foundation. BMNR stock has risen significantly amid the Ethereum treasury company’s buying, as it approaches its goal of holding 5% of the total Ethereum supply.

in Share XThe Ethereum Foundation revealed that it sold 10,000 ETH to Bitmine at an average price of $2,292 through an over-the-counter (OTC) transaction. The Ethereum Foundation said the sale will fund its core operations and activities, including protocol research and development, ecosystem development, and community grant funding.
This marks the second Ethereum Treasury sale in as many weeks. As CoinGape reported, Bitmain I got 10,000 ETH of the Ethereum Foundation last week, in addition to the 101,901 ETH it purchased week, which is the largest weekly purchase since December 2025.
Ethereum Treasury continues to double its Ethereum accumulation, with Tom Lee predicting that the cryptocurrency mini-winter will end soon. With the latest purchase, the company now owns 5,088,386 ETH, representing more than 4.2% of the total ETH supply.
Bitmine continues to approach its goal of holding 5% of the total supply of Ethereum. The company currently has an unrealized loss of about $6.4 billion on its ETH holdings, which it purchased at an average price of $3,600.


BMNR stock rises more than 2%
BMNR stock rose more than 2% amid Bitmine’s purchase of 10,000 ETH from the Ethereum Foundation. the Crypto stock It is currently trading at around $22, up from an intraday low of around $21.


However, the stock has fallen more than 2% in the past five days as the US-Iran war continues to weigh on the cryptocurrency market. The stock is also down roughly 22% year-to-date, mirroring ETH’s performance.
Meanwhile, Bitmine also continued to double down on its staking efforts amid the market’s downtrend. On-chain analytics platform Lookonchain revealed yesterday that the company acquired another 162,088 ETH worth $366 million. Ethereum Treasury has now held approximately 4.2 million ETH, worth $9.48 billion, representing 82.59% of its holdings.
